Account settings

Every account has its own settings. Transactions, beneficiaries, documents, and the portfolio it is invested in all live inside the account rather than in your profile, so open the account you want before you look for any of them.

Opening account settings

Open the account from your home screen, then tap the three dots in the upper right. Everything below is on the panel that opens.

A Traditional IRA account screen, with the three dots button in the upper right picked out.

Transactions

Every deposit, withdrawal, and dividend for this account, newest first, with the date and amount of each.

Under Banking.

Account settings, with the Transactions row under Banking picked out.
A list of deposits with dates and amounts.
What it opens.

Recurring deposit

Set up a deposit that repeats, or change one you already have. A Set up tag next to the row means there is no recurring deposit on this account yet.

Under Banking, below Transactions.

Account settings, with the Recurring Deposit row under Banking picked out.

Bank accounts

The banks that can fund this particular account, and which one is the default. Banks you have connected but not yet attached to it appear under Available banks, along with any that need reconnecting.

Connecting a bank for the first time happens in your profile rather than here. See Link a bank.

Account settings, with the Bank Accounts row under Banking picked out.
Banks linked to the account, and other available banks.
What it opens.

Beneficiaries

Who receives the assets in this account. Primary beneficiaries are first in line; contingent beneficiaries receive them only if no primary beneficiary survives you.

Beneficiaries are set per account, so adding one to your IRA does not add them to anything else. Full detail: Beneficiaries.

Account settings, with the Beneficiaries row picked out.
Primary and contingent beneficiary sections, each with an add button.
What it opens.

Trusted contacts

Someone we may contact about the account in certain situations. A trusted contact cannot see the account or make any decision about it.

Under Beneficiaries and Contacts.

Account settings, with the Trusted Contacts row picked out.
The trusted contacts screen, with an add button.
What it opens.

Documents

Monthly statements, annual tax documents, and trade confirmations are together in one section. Each opens a dated list, and every item downloads as a PDF.

Tax documents are posted for the year they apply to, so a 1099 for last year appears here early in the current one.

Account settings, with the whole Documents section picked out.
A dated list of trade confirmations, each with a download icon.
Trade confirmations, as an example.

Change portfolio

The strategy this account is invested in, from conservative through to aggressive, with the mix each one holds and the one we recommend for you marked. Changing it changes what this account buys from then on.

Each account has its own strategy, so changing your IRA leaves your individual account as it was.

Account settings, with the Change portfolio row under Account Actions picked out.
The Moderate strategy, marked recommended, with its target allocation.
What it opens.

Customize widgets

Which cards appear on the account screen and in what order, so the numbers you check most are the ones at the top.

Under Account Actions, below Change portfolio.

Account settings, with the Customize Widgets row under Account Actions picked out.
